Room Rules, Safety and Moderators
One short set of rules for every page of the Pakistani chat room, plus safety tips and how you can become a moderator.
The room rules
These rules apply to every page and every room on this site. They are short on purpose, so everyone can follow them.
- Adults only. You must be 18 or older. By joining the room you confirm that you are.
- Respect everyone. No abuse, hate speech or bullying, including about someone's city, language, religion, sect, gender or background.
- No adult content. No sexual messages, pictures or links.
- Keep personal details private. Do not share phone numbers, home addresses, ID card numbers or bank details, yours or anyone else's.
- No spam or advertising. No repeated messages, promotions or link dropping.
- No scams. Never ask anyone for money, and do not run any kind of scheme.
- Listen to the admins. Admins and moderators can warn, kick or ban people. Their decision is final in the room.
How to join
- Open any chat page on this site.
- Type a nickname in the join box. Do not use your real name or phone number.
- Press the join button. Joining means you are 18 or older and accept these rules.
- Say salam and start talking.
Staying safe online
- People online are strangers. Be careful about meeting anyone in person after chatting.
- Do not click unknown links or install anything a stranger sends you.
- If someone asks for money, pressures you or makes you uncomfortable, stop replying and tell an admin.
- Admins and moderators have an @ in front of their name in the user list.
How moderation works
Small problems, such as a rude message, usually get a warning or a kick. Repeated or serious problems lead to a ban. Bans are placed carefully, because many people in Pakistan share the same internet connection and we do not want to block innocent users.
To report someone, message an admin and write the nickname and what happened.
Become a moderator
Moderators are regulars who help keep the room friendly. If you are active, respectful and helpful for about two weeks, ask an admin in the room. We look at how you behave, not how long you have been around.
Rules questions
Do I need an account to chat?
No. A nickname is enough. Only moderators use registered names.
Why was I kicked?
Usually for spam, rude messages or sharing personal details. You can rejoin and follow the rules. Ask an admin if you are unsure.
Can I appeal a ban?
You can ask an admin politely if you are able to reach one. Admins decide case by case.
